1. EAT THE RIGHT FOODS

This means eating unrefined, chemical/processed free foods that your body is meant to digest and absorb e.g. lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

2. TAKE DIGESTIVE ENZYMES

Enzymes help you to digest food. A bad diet consisting of processed meals will cause us to lose the enzymes we are born with.

3. ADD PROBIOTICS

Restoring beneficial bacteria to the gut is essential. This may be accomplished by taking a probiotic supplement that contains good bacteria such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species. I recommend anywhere from 10 billion forming units to 100 billion units a day.

4. EAT ORGANIC WHERE YOU CAN

Avoid the pesticide sprays they kill your gut. Organic fruit and veg may be a little pricer but it is for a reason.

5. DRINK LOTS OF WATER

The best thing to clean your colon is to start your day with 500ml of water when you wake up. Our bodies need to be hydrated to keep bad bacteria propelling through our digestive track to be easily eliminated.

6. GIVE YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM A REST

Our gut cannot rest and repair when we over eat.

7. EAT PLENTY OF FERMENTABLE FIBRES

Fermetable fibres such as  sweet potatoes, yams etc. These are known as your prebiotics that help to feed and grow your probiotics.

8. EAT FERMENTED FOOD

Kefir and sauerkraut are two examples of fermented foods that can be added to your diet

9. TAKE ALOE VERA

A daily dose of Aloe Vera will  keep the colon clean and get things moving.

10. HAVE A GREEN SMOOTHIE EVERY DAY

One green smoothie every day!! Half the drink is dark leafy greens and the rest is some kind of low sugar fruit or water. We need fibre. Fibre is a prebiotic which helps to feed the probiotic to enable you to populate and grow the probiotic.
